Teaching is a noble profession, possibly the most important profession one can aspire for. Teaching is also considered as one of the most challenging and respected careers, as teachers play a critical role in the learning and development of a country’s citizenry.
Teachers educate the future generations, sharpening young minds and shaping lives.
A teacher's motivation and encouragement is extremely valuable to a child, for it is their future which sets the course for the development of a nation socially, culturally and economically.
Mentoring the Mentors is an effective training program for the teaching community in developing necessary skills that will inspire students not only to participate fully in the class-room but also master the subjects.
Objectives
- To draw the attention of teachers to appraise or review their day-to-day work in
order to enhance professionalism. (Socratic dictum – Life un-examined is not worth
living)
- To help the teaching community to develop school ethos and create a conducive
class-room climate based on mutual love and respect.
- To provide tools to teachers to motivate students to set career goals
- To assist teachers to provide career counseling and life skills to students in order
that they succeed in life and become responsible citizens in the society.
- To enable teachers to construct meaningful educational experiences that will hone
God-given talents in students.
